**Run for Love** is a free online heart-collecting runner. Your runner sets off down a pink road by itself; you only steer left and right. Pick up hearts to grow your love count, stay away from broken hearts and walls, and at every pair of gates choose the one that leaves you with more love. At the end of the road someone is waiting for you. 30 short levels, about half a minute each.

## How to play

1. Drag left and right with your finger or the mouse. The runner follows.
2. Run through red hearts: each one adds 1 to the number above your head.
3. At a pair of gates, pick a side. The gate shows what it does: **+5** adds, **−3** takes away, **×2** doubles, **÷2** halves.
4. Reach the arch at the end. The more love you bring, the more stars you get.

## What you will meet

- **Hearts** sit in three lanes. You can only collect the lane you are in.
- **Broken hearts** (grey, from level 6) take love away if you touch them.
- **Walls** (grey blocks, from level 11) block two lanes and leave one free. The number on the wall is what a crash costs.
- **Doubling gates** (from level 13): ×2 is worth more than +8 only if you already carry more than 8.
- **Sliding walls** (purple, from level 16) move from side to side. Watch where they are heading.

## Stars

You cannot fail a level. Finishing gives one star; the top right of the screen shows how much love you need for two and for three stars. Three stars need most of the hearts and the right gates. Your best result for every level is kept.

## Controls

**Phone and tablet:** drag anywhere on the screen to move the runner left and right.

## Tips

- Read the gates early. A row of hearts sometimes leads you towards the worse gate.
- Do the sum before a ×2 gate: with 12 love, ×2 gives 24 and +8 gives only 20.
- If both gates are bad, take the smaller loss: ÷2 costs little when you carry little.
- A wall costs more than a few hearts are worth. Give up the hearts and take the free lane.
