## In short

Lucky 21 Tower is a free card battle game for your browser. Draw cards and add them up: your total is your attack. Strike close to the magic number, hit it exactly for a double blow, and go over and you bust. Climb 30 floors through three worlds, pick a door on every floor (fights, shops, camp fires, treasure and mysteries), add special cards, charms and upgrades to your deck and play as six heroes, each with a power of their own. There is also a daily climb and a harder Golden Tower. No download, no sign-up.

**How to control it:** Pick a door on every floor. In a fight press Draw to take a card and Strike to hit with your total. Hitting the magic number exactly hits twice as hard; going over is a bust and does no damage. Use your hero's power and potions with the buttons beside Draw and Strike, and tap the deck counter to see which cards are left. Keyboard: Space or D draws, Enter or S strikes, Q uses your power, P drinks a potion, 1 to 3 pick a door or a reward.

**Lucky 21 Tower** is a free card battle game you play in your browser. Draw cards and add them up: your total is your attack. Get close to the magic number and strike, hit it exactly for a double blow, but go over and you bust. Climb 30 floors through three worlds of cheerful monsters, choose your path at every floor, build your deck with special cards, charms and upgrades, and beat King Croc at the top. No download, no sign-up.

## How to play

1. Choose a hero and press Start. On every floor you pick one of two doors: a fight, a strong foe, a shop, a camp fire, a treasure or a mystery.
2. In a fight, press Draw to take a card. Number cards count their value; an ace counts 11, or 1 if 11 would take you over.
3. Press Strike when you are happy with your total. The monster loses that much health.
4. Hitting the magic number exactly hits twice as hard and strikes on its own. Going over is a bust: no damage this turn.
5. Then the monster draws. It stops at the number shown on its card, and the higher its total, the harder it hits. If it goes over, it busts and misses.
6. Win to pick a new card or a charm, and climb on. Every tenth floor is a boss.

## Three worlds

- **Sunny Meadow** (floors 1 to 10): the magic number is 21. Slimes, bees and a pumpkin, and the Ember Dragon at the end.
- **Candy Clouds** (floors 11 to 20): the magic number is 25, so every hand needs more cards. The Candy Queen waits at the top.
- **Starlit Castle** (floors 21 to 30): back to 21, but with more floor rules, tougher monsters and King Croc.

Some floors have a rule of their own: a different magic number, fog that hides where the monster stops, heavy hits, a shield wall, or a sudden win when you hit the number exactly. The door shows the rule before you choose it.

## Heroes

- **Leo** , the brave knight, can Peek at the next card three times a fight.
- **Mira** , the cloud mage, can Toss her last card three times a fight, even right after a bust.
- **Bruno** , the guardian bear, raises a 7 point shield twice a fight. He joins you at floor 5.
- **Coco** , the parrot captain, swaps his last card for the next one twice a fight. He joins you after the first world.
- **Tako** , the turtle traveller, halves the monster's next hit twice a fight. He joins you at floor 21.
- **Fia** , the lucky fox, turns her next card into exactly the number she needs, once a fight. She joins you after you clear the tower.

## Cards, charms and the shop

Special cards count like normal cards and do something extra: Shield guards you, Heart heals, Ice halves the next hit, Leech heals part of your strike, Blaze and Bomb add damage, Mirror copies the card before it, Clover pays coins on a perfect hand, Thunder makes a perfect hand hit three times as hard and a rare Star becomes whatever number you need. Charms help for the rest of the climb.

The shop sells cards and charms, with one item at half price, and offers services: a potion, upgrading a card or removing one. You can pay for new stock. At a camp fire you rest to heal or sharpen a card; an upgraded card is stronger for the rest of the climb.

## Game modes

- **Tower:** a new random climb every time. Once you clear a world, new climbs can start from the next one with a small starting kit.
- **Daily climb:** everyone starts the day with the same tower and the same first shuffle.
- **Golden Tower:** opens after you clear the tower once. Tougher monsters, and every score counts one and a half times.

## Tips

- With 11 or less you can always draw: no single card can take you over from there.
- Watch the deck counter under the table: it shows how many cards left would be safe and how many would bust you right now. Tap it to see them.
- Read the monster's card and the door's rule before you choose. A shell blocks part of every hit, thorns hurt you when you strike, and some monsters heal every turn.
- Take cards after fights; skipping them is rarely worth the coins. We tested it in [our deck-building guide](https://yesthisgame.com/blog/deck-building-tips/).
- Rest before a boss if you are hurt; sharpen a card if you are not.
