## In short

Rustwalker is a 3D mech shooting game. Choose one of two walking mechs in the hangar, open Customize to fit modules to its four mounts, then start the mission: aim with the mouse, move with the keyboard and fire with the left mouse button to destroy all targets in a desert base.

**How to control it:** Computer only: in the hangar, click the arrow next to the mech to switch mechs, click Customize to fit modules and click Start Mission. In the mission, move the mouse to aim, press W to move forward and click the left mouse button to fire. The goal shown on screen is to destroy all targets. The game needs a keyboard and a mouse and does not have touch controls.

**Rustwalker** is a 3D mech shooting game that runs in your browser. You start in a hangar, pick a walking mech, fit weapon modules to it and then step into the cockpit for a mission in a desert base. The goal on screen is short and clear: destroy all targets.

## How to play

1. Wait for the game to load. It is about 81 MB, so the first load takes a moment. A **Made with Unity** screen shows first.
2. In the hangar, click the **arrow** next to the mech to switch between the two mechs.
3. Click **Customize** to see the list of modules and the four module mounts, pick a module and click **Equip** . Click **Vehicle** to go back.
4. Click **Start Mission** at the top right. You see the world from the mech's cockpit.
5. Move the **mouse** to aim, press **W** to move forward and click the **left mouse button** to fire.
6. Follow the objective at the top left of the screen and the radar at the top right.

## What you see on screen

- **Objectives:** text at the top left that reads Destroy all targets.
- **Radar:** a small square at the top right that shows the area around you.
- **Mech icons:** one in each bottom corner, with a cyan bar next to the left one.
- **Aiming brackets:** square brackets in the middle of the screen.
- **Effects:** fireballs, sparks and orange tracer fire when shots land.

## Tips

- Look around with the mouse before you move: the base and the open desert are in different directions at the start.
- Check Customize before the mission; the modules change what the mech carries.
- Watch the radar at the top right to see where things are around you.
- Read our [mech shooting game controls guide](https://yesthisgame.com/blog/mech-shooting-game-controls-guide/) for what we found in the hangar and in the mission.
