Ten countries are on the map, from France and Spain to the USA, Japan and Korea. Each team is rated for **dunk** , **3 point** , **speed** and **defence** , so pick a team of dunkers if you like driving to the basket, or shooters if you prefer to stay outside the arc.

## Arcade controls

| Action | Keyboard | Phone |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Move your player | Arrow keys | Cross on the left |
| Shoot (attack) / jump to block (defence) | Z | A |
| Pass (attack) / steal (defence) | X | B |

## Tips

- Pass before you shoot. An open teammate near the basket scores far more often than a crowded shot.
- Drive straight at the basket with a dunk team: dunks are hard to block.
- On defence, stay between your man and the basket and time your steals instead of pressing all the time.
- Three-pointers are worth the risk when you are behind with little time left.
- Use save state before a hard match and load it if things go wrong.

## About Street Hoop

Data East released the game for SNK's Neo Geo arcade system in 1994. It was built around fast three-on-three games on outdoor courts, a style made popular by street basketball tournaments of the early nineties, with simple two-button controls and exaggerated dunks. The Neo Geo cartridge let arcades and home players run exactly the same game.
