About Cadillacs and Dinosaurs Arcade
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs Arcade is the original 1993 Capcom arcade machine, the one that ate coins in arcades all over the world. Pick one of four heroes, fight your way through gangs of poachers with fists, throws and whatever guns they drop, and protect the dinosaurs from the people hunting them. This page runs the real arcade game in your browser through an arcade emulator: the same graphics, sound and difficulty as the cabinet, with unlimited coins and no download.

How to play the arcade game
- Press Play and wait a few seconds while the arcade machine starts up (about 12 MB on the first visit).
- Press V to insert a coin, just like dropping a coin into the cabinet. Then press Start (Enter).
- Choose your hero with the arrow keys and press Start or the attack button before the timer runs out.
- Walk right with the arrow keys, attack with Z and jump with X.
- Out of health? Insert another coin with V and press Start to continue from the same spot. Coins never run out here.
The four heroes
- Mustapha Cairo (yellow cap, green shirt): quick, with strong kicks and a long reach. The hero the game is nicknamed after.
- Jack Tenrec: the all-rounder, a mechanic who keeps the old Cadillacs running.
- Hannah Dundee: fast combos and kicks.
- Mess O’Bradovich: slow but the hardest hitter, great at throws.

Move the mouse over the game to show the bar with pause, restart, sound, save state, load state and full screen buttons. A USB or Bluetooth gamepad also works.
Tips from the arcade days
- Pick up the guns. Rifles, shotguns and Uzis have limited ammo but clear a crowd in seconds.
- Walk into an enemy to grab him, then attack to throw him into the others.
- Keep the special attack for when you are surrounded. It costs health every time.
- Food on the ground restores health. Leave it for later if you are still healthy.
- Use save state before a boss and load it if the fight goes wrong: something the old cabinets never let you do.
About the original arcade game
Capcom released Cadillacs and Dinosaurs in arcades in 1993. It is based on Mark Schultz’s comic series Xenozoic Tales, set in a future where dinosaurs have returned and people drive restored classic cars, which is where the Cadillac in the title comes from. The game ran on Capcom’s CPS-1 arcade hardware and, unlike many arcade hits of its time, never got an official home console version, so for most players it lives on in memories of arcade halls.
