About Lucky 21 Tower
Lucky 21 Tower is a free card battle game you play in your browser. Draw cards and add them up: your total is your attack. Get close to 21 and strike, hit exactly 21 for a double blow, but go over 21 and you bust. Climb fifteen floors of cheerful monsters, build your deck with special cards and lucky charms, and beat King Croc at the top. No download, no sign-up.
How to play
- Choose a hero and press Start. The first floor’s monster is waiting on the tower map; press Fight.
- Press Draw to take a card. Number cards count their value, an ace counts 11, or 1 if 11 would take you over 21.
- Press Strike when you are happy with your total. The monster loses that much health.
- Exactly 21 hits twice as hard and strikes on its own. Over 21 is a bust: no damage this turn.
- Then the monster draws from its own deck. It stops at the number shown under its name, and the higher its total, the harder it hits. If it goes over 21, it busts and misses.
- Win the fight to pick a new card for your deck and climb to the next floor.
Controls
- Mouse or touch: tap Draw, Strike, your hero’s power and Potion.
- Keyboard: Space or D draws, Enter or S strikes, Q uses your power, P drinks a potion, 1 to 3 pick a reward.
Heroes
- Leo, the brave knight (60 health) can Peek three times a fight: he sees the next card before he draws it.
- Mira, the cloud mage (54 health) can Toss three times a fight: she throws away her last card, even right after a bust.
- Bruno, the guardian bear (64 health) raises a 7 point shield twice a fight. He joins you once you reach floor 5.
- Fia, the lucky fox (50 health) turns her next card into exactly the number she needs, once a fight. She joins you after you clear the tower.
Special cards
After most floors you add one of three special cards to your deck. They count like normal cards and do something extra: a Shield card guards you, a Heart heals you, a Coin pays out, Blaze and Bubble add damage to the strike, a Mirror copies the card before it, Thunder makes a 21 hit three times as hard, and a rare Star becomes whatever number you need for 21.
After the mini bosses on floors 5 and 10 you choose a charm instead, a helper that works for the rest of the climb. After floors 3, 8 and 12 a shop opens, where you can buy cards, a charm, potions and rest, or pay to remove a card from your deck.
Game modes
- Tower: a new random climb every time.
- Daily climb: everyone starts the day with the same tower and the same first shuffle. Your best daily score is kept.
- Golden Tower: opens after you clear the tower once. The monsters are tougher and every score counts one and a half times.
Tips
- With 11 or less you can always draw: no single card can take you over 21 from there.
- Watch the bust chance under the table. It counts the cards that are really left in your deck, and you can tap the deck to see them.
- Read the monster’s name card before you strike. A shell blocks part of every hit, thorns hurt you when you strike, and some monsters heal every turn.
- Low special cards such as Feather and Shield make your deck safer. Removing a few low number cards in the shop makes your strikes bigger.
- In our test runs, a player who keeps drawing while the bust chance is low and strikes once it passes about one in three cleared the whole tower about half the time with Leo.
