Unblock Metro

Unblock Metro is a free online sliding puzzle. Trains are parked all over the depot and the red metro is stuck in the middle. Slide the other trains up, down, left or right until the metro has a clear track to the exit on the right. It is a calm brain game with 60 hand-picked levels, from a two-move warm-up to real head-scratchers.

How to play Unblock Metro

1. Drag a train along its track. Horizontal trains move left and right, vertical trains move up and down.
2. A train stops when it meets another train or the edge of the board.
3. Keep sliding until the red metro can reach the yellow exit on the right side.
4. Drive the metro out to finish the level.

Stars and moves

• Every level shows the smallest number of moves it can be solved in.
• Finish in that number for 3 stars. Up to 3 extra moves still earn 2 stars.
• Your best result for every level is saved in your browser, so you can come back and improve it.

Controls

Phone and tablet: put your finger on a train and slide it.

Computer: drag trains with the mouse, or press Tab to select a train and use the arrow keys. Z undoes, R restarts, H shows a hint, L opens the level list and M mutes the sound.

Tips

• Look at the row of the metro first. Which trains cross it, and what is holding each of them in place?
• Vertical trains next to the exit usually need the most room. Clear space for them early.
• Do not be afraid to move a train away from the exit. Making room is often the shortest path.
• Stuck? Undo a few moves rather than restarting; a good position is often only one move away.
