About Bubble Bobble
Bubble Bobble is one of the best loved arcade games ever made. Bub, a little green dragon, blows bubbles that trap monsters. Pop a trapped monster and it turns into fruit and points; pop many at once for a bigger bonus. Jump on your own bubbles to climb, collect the letters of EXTEND for an extra life, and make your way through 100 levels. It is Taito’s 1986 arcade game, and it plays right here in your browser with no download.
More single-screen fun: Tumble Pop and Snow Bros.
How to play
- Press Play under the title picture and wait a moment while the arcade machine starts.
- Press Coin (V on a keyboard) to add a credit, then Start (Enter).
- Blow a bubble with Z. A monster it hits is trapped inside.
- Touch the trapped monster to pop the bubble. The monster becomes fruit: pick it up for points.
- Jump with X. Hold jump while landing on a bubble to bounce on it and reach higher platforms.
- Trapped monsters escape after a while and come back angry and faster, so pop them quickly.
- Take too long on a level and a ghost comes after you.
