Rampcrest

Rampcrest is a dirt bike stunt game that runs in your browser. You ride a motocross bike across ramps, barrels and crates, fly through the air and try to reach the finish line fast. How quickly you finish decides how many stars you get, from one to three.

How to play

1. Click Play, then pick a level on the map. Level 1 is open at the start and the next levels open as you go.
2. Hold the up arrow to ride. A hint on level 1 says Use arrows to move.
3. Use the left and right arrows to tilt the bike in the air. In our test the left arrow turned the bike over in mid-air; we did not test the right arrow.
4. Reach the finish before your time runs past the star targets. Each level lists them on the result screen: level 1 shows 36, 30 and 25 seconds.
5. Press Space to continue after a crash, R to restart the level and P to pause.

What you see on screen

• Level number and restart icon: top left.
• Timer: top centre, counting up from 00.00.
• Pause and sound buttons: top right.
• Level map: 25 levels with a star count under each one you have finished, and padlocks on the rest.
• Bike shop: open it with the bike icon on the map. Stars buy bikes there.

Controls

• Up arrow: ride
• Left and right arrows: tilt the bike in the air (left tested, right not tested)

Tips

• Do not hold the throttle all the way. In our four test runs that only held the up arrow, the bike crashed within 13 seconds every time.
• Look at the star times on the result screen. Across the 25 levels the three-star target runs from 25 to 40 seconds.
• Press R as soon as a run goes wrong. The timer goes back to 00.00 at once.
