About Streets of Rage 3
Streets of Rage 3 is the fastest and most varied game of the Mega Drive trilogy. Mr. X is back with an army of robots, a bomb plot and a plan to replace the city’s leaders with copies. Axel, Blaze and Skate are joined by Dr. Zan, a scientist turned cyborg, and every fighter can run, roll and use special moves with weapons. It is Sega’s 1994 game, and it plays right here in your browser with no download.

How to play
- Press Play under the title picture, then Start (Enter). Choose a game mode and pick your fighter.
- Attack with X and jump with C. Tap a direction twice to run, and press attack while running for a dash attack.
- Press Z for a special move. It uses the special bar at the top, which fills again over time; with a full bar it costs no energy.
- Pick up pipes, knives and swords: each fighter has a special move with them too.
- Food in barrels and boxes refills your energy.
Controls
Computer: arrow keys move, Z (A) special move, X (B) attack, C jump, Enter is Start and pauses. Move the mouse over the game to show the bar with pause, restart, sound, save state, load state and full screen buttons.
Phone and tablet: the Mega Drive pad appears under the game: the cross, A, B, C and Start.
A USB or Bluetooth gamepad also works.
Cheats
Press the magic wand button next to the full screen button above the game. A small panel opens over the game, and the game waits until you close it.
- Unlimited lives: you never run out of lives.
- Unlimited energy: your energy bar stays full.
Reloading the page turns the cheats off again.
About Streets of Rage 3
Sega released Streets of Rage 3 for the Mega Drive in 1994; in Japan it is called Bare Knuckle III. The Japanese version has a different story, some different characters and an easier difficulty than the Western release. The game has four endings, decided by the difficulty and by whether you finish certain stages in time, and hidden characters you can unlock, Shiva and Roo the boxing kangaroo.
