Heatwave Sniper

Heatwave Sniper is a 3D first-person sniper game that runs in your browser. You hold a bolt-action rifle on a desert rooftop. A village of low walls and palm trees lies ahead, and far away in the tall grass small figures move. Raise the scope, find them and shoot before they shoot you.

How to play

1. Wait for the game to load. It is about 32 MB, so it starts quickly.
2. Move the mouse to look around. Press W to walk forward.
3. Hold the right mouse button to look through the scope.
4. Click the left mouse button to fire. The counter at the bottom right shows the rounds in the rifle.
5. Press R to load a round when the counter is low.
6. Keep an eye on your health at the bottom left. When it reaches 0, the Game Over panel offers a Try Again button.

What you see on screen

• Score: at the top left, with a Top line in meters under it. Both read 0 in our test runs, because we did not hit an enemy.
• Health: a number at the bottom left. It starts at 100.
• Rounds: a counter at the bottom right that starts at 10 / 10.
• Scope view: a black ring with a cross-hair, small dots along the lines and a small H0:V0 readout in the middle.
• Enemies: small figures far away in the grass. Their shots show as pale lines in the air.

Tips

• Do not click twice in a hurry. In our tests with 8 clicks, the counter dropped by only 1 to 4 rounds, because the rifle needs a moment between shots.
• Look for the enemies with the scope up: they are small and sit far away in the grass.
• Watch your health. In our runs where we walked forward, raised the scope and fired, it fell from 100 to 0 in about a minute.

How do you play Heatwave Sniper?
