About Digsmith
Digsmith is an idle digging game that runs in your browser. You start on top of a sunny canyon with a small camp, tap to dig a tunnel down through its colored layers and collect gold. Gold also builds up while you do nothing, so the tunnel keeps growing when you stop tapping.
How to play
- Wait for the game to load. It is about 48 MB.
- Click or tap on the ground to dig. A hand and the words Tap to dig faster show you where.
- Watch the gold counter at the top left. It goes up as the tunnel grows.
- Spend gold on the three upgrades at the bottom: Profit, Speed and Worker. When one is affordable, its price turns green and a hint says Tap to Upgrade.
- Click the map button on the left to see the locations, and the plus next to the diamonds to open the shop.
What you see on screen
- Gold and diamonds: two counters at the top. Both start at 0.
- Level: a label at the top right. A green LEVEL UP badge appears when you can level up.
- Upgrades: three cards at the bottom. In our test they cost 200 (Profit), 100 (Speed) and 1000 (Worker). After one Profit upgrade the next Profit level cost 1.7k.
- Boost timer: a small badge such as x2 Gold with a countdown appears when a boost is active.
- Side buttons: the map (locations) and the plant (ornaments).

- Open the shop early. The two free items at the top, a x2 boost for 60 seconds and 5 diamonds, are given at once when you press Get.

Frequently asked questions
How do you play Digsmith?
Click or tap the ground to dig, then spend the gold you collect on the Profit, Speed and Worker upgrades at the bottom of the screen.
Does the game keep earning gold if I stop tapping?
Yes. In our test the gold counter reached 80 after 30 seconds without a single tap.
What does the shop sell?
Free items (a x2 boost for 60 seconds and 5 diamonds), three time warps for 15, 40 and 70 diamonds, and six boosters for 10 to 40 diamonds.
How many locations are there?
The map shows one location in progress and four locked ones that need the previous one to be finished.
Is Digsmith free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Yes This Game, with no download and no sign-up.
Can I play it on a phone?
Yes. Taps work as clicks, and the shop opened with a tap in our phone test. The scene is small when the phone is upright, so turning it sideways gives a bigger picture.
